This easy 5 ingredient chocolate chip cookie recipe makes soft, chewy cookies with crisp edges in under 30 minutes. No mixer or chilling needed—just pantry staples and big flavor.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Gradually mix in flour until fully incorporated.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until edges are golden.
7. Cool on baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Notes
Reserve a few chocolate chips to press on top of each dough scoop before baking for a bakery-style finish.
To make an oatmeal variation, substitute 1 cup of flour with rolled oats.
